On Bear Ridge by Ed Thomas
11th to 18th January 2025
In a lost village, blurred by redrawn borders, hidden under a crumb on the map, Bear Ridge Stores still stands.
After a hundred years, the Family Butchers and Grocers, a place for odds and ends, contraband goods and the last petrol pump for 30 miles – is now silent. But owners, John Daniel and Noni are not leaving. They are defiantly drinking the remaining whiskey and remembering good times; when everyone was the same side and the old language shone. Outside in the dark, a figure is making their way towards them.
A semi-autobiographical story about the places we leave behind, the indelible marks
they make on us, and the unreliable memories we hold on to.
This amateur production of On Bear Ridge is presented by arrangement with the Knight Hall Agency Ltd.
Warnings: Smoke, sudden noise.
Approximate running time: 85 minutes with no interval.
Amadeus by Peter Shaffer
8th to 15th February 2025
Vienna, 1823. Drama, tragedy, comedy, envy, jealousy, sex, love, lust and... murder...?
all underpinned by some glorious music.
Peter Shaffer's extraordinary multi-award winning 'Amadeus' brings us the life and death of
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a stunningly rich theatrical experience.
The play depicts the imagined rivalry between Salieri, Court Composer and Mozart,
foul-mouthed musical genius. Considered to be a near masterpiece, and with very wide
appeal to all our audience members, this is one not to be missed!
"Was it then – so early – that I began to have thoughts of murder?”

Boudica by Tristan Bernays
8th to 15th March 2025
Boudica is a modern, ancient history play that tells the story of one of
Britain's most iconic women: a queen, a warrior, a rebel.
The play premiered at the Globe in 2017 to great critical acclaim. It's a thrilling story, with plenty of action,
where the women as well as the men get to do the exciting stuff! The words trip off the tongue,
sometimes drifting into the poetic and at other times into the coarse.
Fast and furious, with elements of humour running through – a pacy, fun watch that will thrill audiences
This amateur production of Boudica is presented by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
Warnings: Strobe lighting, effects, smoke/haze, loud sound.
Approximate running time: 2 hours 30 minutes, including interval.
Little Women adapted by Kevin Cunningham
A GWT Youth Group Production
9th to 12th April 2025
I do know something about girls, well certain girls anyway.”
Louisa May Alcott's classic and moving story is brought to life by our youth theatre.
This wonderful adaptation by Kevin Cunningham is faithful to the book whilst also pursuing
questions relevant to discourse around gender today.
Full of excitement, sadness, romance and family, this beautiful story will not shy away from
the realities that our four main sisters Meg, Jo, Amy and Beth have to encounter.
They may not always get along, but with the Civil War raging in the background the sisters
must pull together as they emerge from childhood and encounter the adult world of
employment, society, and marriage.

Pack of Lies by Hugh Whitemore
3rd to 10th May 2025
Pack of Lies is based on the real-life Portland Spy Ring affair of the early 1960s, telling the story of an
infiltration of Soviet spies into a mundane middle-class community in leafy Ruislip.
The play contrasts ordinary everyday suburban British life with the fictional
worlds of John Le Carré and Ian Fleming.
Hugh Whitemore's slow-burning play was first seen in the West End in 1983 with Judi Dench
and Michael Williams. Dench won the Laurence Olivier Award as Best Actress for her performance.
It received a major revival in 2018 at The Menier Chocolate Factory to great acclaim.
At the heart of the play lies the dilemma of whether or not personal bonds between friends are
or should be stronger than bonds with the state. A gripping drama, not to be missed.

Dixon & Daughters by Deborah Bruce
31st May to 7th June 2025
Set inside a modest house in Bradford, the action takes place in multiple rooms of the house
at the same time. It is present day.
An important and timely play that follows the lives of three generations of women living in
the Dixon family home. Mary (our matriarch) has just been released from prison.
She wants to come home and forget all about it – but Briana (her stepdaughter) has other ideas.
Over two tumultuous days, the family is forced to confront not only their past, but everything
about themselves. Because the truth doesn't go away, even if you refuse to hear it.
'An involving examination of exactly why women continue to suffer in silence, in homes where
they should feel safe... an authenticity that cannot be questioned...
it has the tang of truth as well as the tension of drama'

One Man, Two Guvnors by Richard Bean
28th June to 5th July 2025
Undoubtedly the most riotously funny play of the 21st Century. The combination of visual and verbal
comedy is a triumph.
There is a rich host of memorable characters who exude energy as they bring an extraordinarily
entertaining script to life. It is very funny and gallops along at a tremendous
pace with thrills and spills at every turn.
There's knockabout comedy, romance, intrigue, mistaken identity, laugh out loud situations,
glamour and a live skiffle band. The absolute epitome of a 'good night out' at the theatre.
