London 1913. Militancy in the Suffragette Movement is at its height. Thousands of women of all classes serve time, endure terrible conditions and treatment in Holloway Prison in their fight to gain the vote. Lady Celia Cain, who feels trapped in both the policies of the day and the shackles of a frustrating marriage, meets a young seamstress, Eve Douglas, and her life spirals into an emotional roller-coaster. This is a play about love and friendship, belief and betrayal, hope and despair but above all it is about bravery and an unyielding fight to end injustice for a better and fairer future.
This play includes some strong language and some smoking. There is some nudity and violence in the context of the treatment of suffragettes.
