When the long-buried body of a man who disappeared during the Troubles is discovered, the past comes crashing into the present. Old loyalties and buried secrets rise to the surface, forcing the Carney family to face truths they have spent years avoiding. At the centre is Quinn Carney, a man determined to shield those he loves from the violence he once knew, but who may find the past impossible to keep at bay.

As the day unfolds, what begins as a vivid portrait of family life in Northern Ireland becomes something darker, tenser and increasingly inevitable. The outside world presses in, and the cost of silence, love and loyalty is laid bare.

Sweeping, intimate and electrifying, The Ferryman is a powerful story of memory, identity and the ties that bind us. Blending humour, lyricism and shocking intensity, it is gripping, unforgettable theatre, epic in scale, immediate in impact, and impossible to shake.
